Backup to FTP Storage Vault fails: "Can't access Storage Vault: Failed to check for config file: relative path config not allowed"

Symptoms

When FTP Storage Vault is used with Store in default home directory setting enabled,
Comet backup fails:

CONFIG_TEXT: Can't access Storage Vault: Failed to check for config file: relative path config not allowed

Cause

This is a product bug with ID COMET-59732, which has already been fixed in Voyager 26.5.1 or Phoebe 26.4.4.

The Development Team advised that a fix was in progress to restrict the use of relative paths, as they posed a security risk. That fix inadvertently introduced a regression, which is causing this error to appear in backup jobs.

Resolution

Upgrade to Voyager 26.5.1 or Phoebe 26.4.4.
