Symptoms
A Policy that is enforced to a user profile has a Default Protected Item with a schedule configured (Storage Vault selection set to "All Storage Vaults"). When a user is assigned this policy, logs in, and registers a new device, the Protected Item is created as expected upon device registration. However, the schedule on that Protected Item is empty/missing, even though the policy has a schedule configured.
Cause
A vault that is not yet associated with the newly registered device is treated as invalid, so it is skipped even if the vault already exists on the account. With no valid vault, zero schedules get created, leaving the Protected Item with an empty schedule.
Resolution
Set the policy schedule's Storage Vault selection to The Latest Storage Vault instead of All Storage Vaults. This selector has no device-association gate and resolves correctly at first registration. It is expected that the Protected Item will automatically be created upon registration and will also inherit the schedule associated with it.
