How to migrate Storage Vault content to a new Storage Vault?

We recommend starting new backups to the new Storage Vault, as this is by far the easiest method.

Create a new bucket on the other storage platform. On the Comet server, create a new Storage Template pointing to the new bucket, then create a new Storage Vault using that Storage Template and start backing up to it. The data in the old Storage Vault remains accessible.

Internal note: Manual bucket content migration — support calls only, if truly necessary

Create a new bucket in the other S3-type storage.
Create a new Storage Template configured for the other S3-type storage.
Create a new Storage Vault for the user using the new Storage Template.
Using Cyberduck (or another S3-compatible client), set the new Storage Vault's subdirectory field to the path you'll copy the data into.
Edit the raw profile of the user, copying the EncryptionKeyEncryptionMethod, EncryptedEncryptionKey, and RepoInitTimestamp values from the old Backblaze bucket into the other S3-type Storage Vault.
Run rclone to copy the data from the old bucket to the new one. For large (terabyte-scale) datasets, do this as an initial bulk copy well ahead of cutover to get most of the transfer time out of the way, then resync with rclone to catch up.
