Unknown Protected Items in Recent Activity

Symptoms

Multiple Unknown Protected Items with no schedule are listed in the Recent Activity page on the Management Console.

After upgrading the Comet Server to 26.4.2 or 26.4.3, duplicate entries for backup jobs are shown in the Recent Activity section.

Cause

A Comet Management Console bug is causing deleted Protected Items to appear in the Recent Activity report. As they have no ID, name or schedule, they appear as 'unknown'. The bug is tracked as COMET-59549.

Resolution

A fix is available in version 26.4.4. Upgrade your Management Console to receive the fix.

The unknown Protected Items and duplicate entries in affected versions are cosmetic only.
